 |
This
beautiful 120 square metre stone town house, built towards the end of the
18th century, can be found in a unique position in the centre of the
stunning mediaeval town of Parrano.
Locally it is known as a Casa Torre (Tower house) as it is built over
four levels, and has been restored taking great care to be faithful to the
original, while being technically perfect.
|
|
All
of the upper rooms and the roof have been remodelled, the interior has been
re-plastered, the stone has been restored where visible, and all of the
fixtures have been replaced.
The
refurbishment has used all of the original materials of the era, including
tiles from the traditional kiln in Parrano and oak beams recycled from
contemporary buildings. |

The
house is entered via a stone stairway; immediately reminiscent of another
time,
while
a series

window. |

Below there are another two levels: one has a large kitchen with a
fireplace, while the lower of the two has a double bedroom with bathroom
en suite. |
