A beautiful space/ craft workshop located in the main square of Cetona in a historic building dating back to 1500, consisting of 6 rooms on the ground floor and two adjoining basement rooms, for a total area of sqm. 253 , home for decades of a famous ceramic workshop.
The first room with a large entrance on the main square, has an industrial terracotta floor and small ceiling in brick vaults. A large round arch in brick separates it from the second room, with a ceiling with wooden beams and terracotta tiles. From here begins the old handmade terracotta floor. A large window looks out onto an interior courtyard.
On the right there is a third room used as storage, with a bathroom that has a window to the inner courtyard.
Three steps down to the fourth room always divided by a brick arch with ceiling with wooden beams and plates, home of the oven for cooking ceramics. A staircase leads to the internal courtyard where the window of the bathroom and the two rooms described above and the entrances of the funds of the other condominiums overlook.
Some steps go down to the oldest part of the building, with ceilings with large vaults of handmade bricks. This room is very large, and houses a small cellar.
From here we pass to the semi-underground area where there are vaulted ceilings in tufa, brick arches , niches carved into the walls and an ancient part of the ceiling that shows the wooden beams , witnesses of a distant past.
The property is in very good condition and is habitable either as laboatorio or convertible into a restaurant..
